To Do or Not to Do?

So I discovered that "just being" doesn't fit neatly into the process of experimenting with aggressive psoriasis treatments. Medication #1 showed no change in the skin. Medication #2 (actually a combination of #1 and 2 together) made me so exhausted and even depressed that my new goal became to "just do" things, to prevent myself from fading into the earth with inertia, like a veritable slug. (Not that slugs are as lazy and tired as I felt!) A state of extreme inertia wasn't exactly workable, so I'm sort of back to square one.

We found a housemate! That is, we're renting out a spare room in our house, to help us in our efforts to hold onto the house while I sort out my health and work lives. I doubt we could've found a better roommate (no, she hasn't moved in yet, but you know how you just have a feeling about certain people?), thanks once again to the Triathlon Club of S.D. Heh, and she brings cats. My cats don't know about this yet. If they did, they might not be here to welcome the visitors, so all the better. I suspect the younger kitty will be all over the new "friends." Turtle, I'm not sure about. Three of the four cats are black and white - no furniture shall be exempt!

Not having a job actually entails quite a few activities (unless you're independently wealthy, of course) - finding the roommate and setting up for her, transferring health insurance back to Greg's paycheck, rolling over my 401K, going back into my former workplace to help train my replacement, selling everything good that I don't currently need on eBay, studying so I can eventually work as a trainer, and riding a drug roller coaster to try to save what's left of my skin. I gave myself a couple weeks off attempting to study, but somehow all these other things popped into its place.

...As they say, "nature abhors a vacuum." It's true for life; it's true for my fridge.
